Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 7, 2026

Capturl is operated by Zoomst LLC, a Delaware (USA) limited liability company.

We built Capturl to help you capture and share screenshots easily. Your privacy matters to us, and we want to be transparent about how we handle your information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

Throughout this page, we refer to "capturls" — these are the items you create, edit and share using our Platform. Generally, a capturl includes three main components: (1) a screenshot image of web content, (2) the source URL of the captured page, and (3) any annotations, drawings, or notes you add. When we say "capturl," we're referring to this complete package of content (including any additional metadata associated with it).

If you have any questions about this policy, please reach out to us at support@capturl.com.

1. What information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address. When using an OAuth provider like Google or Microsoft Outlook, we may additionally collect your name and profile picture.

Your capturls

Unless you choose to save a capturl to your account (to share it with others), your capturls never leave your device. If you do decide to upload a capturl to our platform, you may additionally enable the E2E encryption feature to encrypt the image, annotations and source URL of your capturl.

Usage data

We collect basic usage information like which features you use and general performance metrics. This helps us improve the service and doesn't include your actual screenshot content.

Payment information

If you subscribe to a Capturl Pro plan, we collect payment information through Stripe. We never store your payment details directly — Stripe handles all payment processing securely.

2. How we use this data

To provide our service: We use your account information to authenticate you and manage any subscription you may have.

To improve Capturl: We analyze aggregate usage patterns to understand which features are most helpful.

To communicate with you: We send important updates about your account, service changes, and security notifications.

To keep things secure: We monitor for abuse and security threats to protect both you and other users of the service.

3. Information sharing

We don't sell your data. We rely on trusted third-party infrastructure providers to operate our platform:

  • Firebase (Identity Platform) — Authentication and account identity metadata.
  • Cloudflare Workers & R2 — Edge serverless execution and encrypted storage for capturl images.
  • Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management.

4. Data retention

  • Local capturls — Remain on your device until deleted.
  • Saved capturls — Retained on Cloudflare R2/D1 until deleted by owner or expired per organization TTL policy.
  • Account data — Retained until you delete your account in Account Settings. Delete any organizations you own in Organization Settings first (cancel an active plan via the Stripe Customer Portal as part of that flow). Account deletion permanently removes your capturls and Firebase identity. Stripe billing records are retained for tax and accounting.
  • Billing records — Stripe invoices and the Stripe Customer are retained as required for tax and accounting. We do not store card numbers.

5. Security measures

All data in transit is protected using TLS 1.3 encryption. Optional Client-Side End-to-End Encryption (AES-GCM-256 via WebCrypto API) guarantees that only individuals holding the decryption key can view the content.
